Dr. Alicia Anderson-Brown
Dr. Brown is a Human Services Professional at heart. Some of her greatest moments of her 35-year career have been helping others. She is a native New Yorker who has always loved South Carolina. She earned her PhD and Master’s degrees in Human Services from Capella University with focuses on Community and Human Services, and Counseling Studies. She earned her undergraduate degree in Human Services from State University of New York (SUNY) Empire State College. Dr. Brown holds certifications as a Master Addictions Counselor (MAC) and Certified Clinical Supervisor (CCS). She is a Professor at four different universities and loves sharing her life experiences with graduate and undergraduate students in social work, human services, psychology, sociology, criminal justice, and addiction studies. She enjoys mentoring college students from USC, Columbia College and PhD students from various Universities. She self-published her first book in 2010, Touched By People, Places and Things. She loves family and sharing her life with her wonderful soulmate and husband, her beautiful son and grandson. She enjoys singing, mindfulness, public speaking, fishing, and volunteering.
Darrow is an Addictions Professional with over 25-years experience as a Helping Professional. He has devoted his career to helping special populations living in the grips of addiction, trauma, criminality, and other human services issues. He is a native New Yorker where his career in the helping professions began. He holds a Master’s degree from Capella University in the Studies of Human Behavior and earned his undergraduate degree in Community and Human Services from State University of New York (SUNY) Empire State College. Darrow holds certifications as a Master Addictions Counselor (MAC), National Certified Addictions Counselor II (NCACII), and Certified Addictions Counselor II (CACII). He loves being a role model to others. He is married to his wife and best friend, has two sons and two grandchildren. He loves the peace of fishing, carpentry, counseling, building things, taking on small projects, gardening, and giving back to the community.
Marcelette is passionate about her family, her career, and life in general. She is a native of Brooklyn, New York. She began her career working in Woolworth in Roosevelt Field, New York. She treasured this job because it taught her that working hard pays off and gives you a sense of honor and self-respect. After graduating high school, she joined the military where she achieved the rank of Sergeant and was the recipient of many accolades, medals, and honors. She received her undergraduate degree in Information Systems from Strayer University and her graduate degree in Health Care Administration from Capella University in 2014. She has been on a wonderful journey that she calls LIFE! She has been blessed to wake up each morning and begin a new day that starts with a “SMILE” and ends with “PRAYER”. She is married to Herbert Pearson and is very proud of her children and grandchildren. She enjoys bowling, walking in the park, puzzles, music, solitaire, scrabble, and spending quality time with her family. Her motto is: LIVE your life to the fullest every single day, LOVE hard and strong with all your heart, and LAUGH as much as you can because laughter is good for the soul and tomorrow is not promised to anyone!

Jeronica was born in Fort Huachuca, Arizona and raised in Lugoff, South Carolina. She graduated from Spring Valley High School in May 2005 and went on to attend Charleston Southern University in Charleston, SC. She enjoys spending time with her siblings, nieces, nephews, and daughter. Her daughter is her pride and joy. She currently works as a Customer Care Agent for Sykes Enterprises. She feels grateful to have parents that raised her and her siblings to understand that all they have is each other and should depend on each other through thick and thin. Her family is very important to her and she treasures each day that she is allowed to enjoy and spend with all of them. She enjoys reading, writing, cooking, baking, listening to music, and spending time with her family. She is the proud mother of Angel and Brooklyn.

Herbert is a native of Bishopville, South Carolina. He earned his truck driving certificate in Charlotte, North Carolina. He is a truck driver who is passionate about his family and career. He is full of energy and always wants to be sure that my family is taken care of. He looks forward to going to work each and every day and thank GOD when he wakes up each morning to starts his day! He considers himself a natural born caregiver who is always concerned about his family and ensuring his wife, kids, mother, and siblings have what they need to survive. He is married to Marcelette Anderson-Pearson and enjoys football, fishing, yard work, and family time. He is most proud of his children and grandchildren. He encourages others to strive for the best to be the best in all that they do!

Miss Sheray K. Jones (affectionately called Sheray-Ray or Aunt Ray) a Queens, New York native holds a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling from Webster University and a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from the University of South Carolina, Columbia. She currently works with both children and families with diverse backgrounds and various needs and with offender populations with a specialization in substance use disorders. She is currently certified in Child Welfare for South Carolina, in process for the Certified Addictions Counselor credential and is looking forward to obtaining licensure in South Carolina for Professional Counseling, in the near future. She believes in empowering all people and is willing to assist those in need. Her philosophy is ‘if you are alive, you have the potential to improve your life. With support and assistance change can be possible.’ As a member of the New Dimensions Church Northeast, she serves on the Usher Board, Woman to Woman (W2W), and Young Adult Ministries. In addition to being an active member of her church, she is also a member of United Women in Christ. Her passions are cooking, making chocolate delights, and spending time with family and friends. For Miss Jones, a hard-working woman of remarkable dedication and integrity, her profession as a Clinical Counselor is truly a labor of unconditional love.

Melvina Ackwood is a native of New York and has resided in Orangeburg SC for the past 6 years. My professional background is in banking, retail specialist/buyer, Lexington County Guardian ad Litem, Vice President of the Home Owners Association in her housing development, and she is currently employed by USC as an Administrative Coordinator and Event Planner. Her favorite hobby is jewelry making and various kinds of crafts. However, what's most gratifying to her in life is paying it forward by giving a hand to vulnerable people.

Novel author, Miguel Caldwell, lives in the city where he was born, Camden, South Carolina, just a few miles from the city in which he was raised, Bethune, South Carolina. He is a student at Camden High School. Miguel is a laid back individual who divides his time equally among family, writing, singing, studying, acting, and social media. He loves to write with a purpose. God is his biggest motivator. His family-oriented nature has made him a loving individual who finds joy in bringing joy to others. He enjoys working with others and helping in any way he can. With this just being the beginning of his career, Miguel plans to continue writing and grow as an author, entertainer, and whatever God sends his way in the future.
Jerone Johnson II
Jerone II was born in Fort Huachuca, Arizona and raised in Lugoff, South Carolina. He graduated from Spring Valley High School in May 2008 and went on to attend Coastal Carolina University in Myrtle Beach, SC. He is married to Charmelle Johnson and enjoys spending time with his children, siblings, nieces, and nephews. He currently works as a Claims Coordinator at BlueCross BlueShield of South Carolina. His wife, children, and family are very important to him and he does not allow anything to interfere with his family environment. He lives life to the fullest and enjoys video games, grilling, fishing, football, music, and spending time with his family. He is the proud father of Zaniya and Zhimir.
Charmelle was born in Houma, Louisiana and raised in Thibodaux, Louisiana. She graduated from Spring Valley High School in May 2007 and went on to attend Clemson University in Anderson, SC. She also attended Midlands Technical College where she earned Certified Nursing Assistant and a Medical Office Specialist Certificates. She is married to Jerone Johnson II and enjoys spending time with his children, siblings, nieces, and nephews. She currently works as an Administrative Schedule Coordinator at Palmetto Health Richland. Her husband, children, and family are very important to her. She lives life to the fullest and enjoys ballet, tap, jazz, and crocheting, and spending time with her family. She is the proud mother of Zaniya and Zhimir.
Eric Hines II
Eric II was born in Long Island, New York and raised in Holliswood Queens, New York. He graduated from Spring Valley High School in May 2008 and went on to attend Midlands Technical College in Columbia, SC. He enjoys spending time with his son, siblings, nieces, and nephews. He currently works as a Cook at Millennium. His son and family are very important to him and he does not allow anything to interfere with his family time. He lives life to the utmost and enjoys rapping, making music, fishing, football, and traveling. He is the proud father of Gregory.
Lakeisha Huff Roberson
Lakeisha (Keisha) is very passionate about her family, career, and life in general. She is thankful that Jehovah has allowed her to become the woman that she is and continues to work on her and has never given up on her. She began her career at the very young age of 14 working at Nathans, waitressing at Waffle House, to completing Cosmetology school and becoming a beautician for approximately 10 years. In May of 2004 she began my career at Blue Cross and Blue Shield of South Carolina. She has been employed there for almost 15 years where she has excelled to Customer/Claims Supervisor in a call center where she is responsible for up to 15 advocates. She is married to Al and is thankful to have 3 handsome sons’ (Domonique, Tyreek and her baby Kevon) and one grandchild who has brought her so much joy since the day he was born (Damari Jayden Fleming). She believes your positive action combined with positive thinking results in success. Always SMILE like you never cried, FIGHT like you’ve never lost, LOVE like you’ve never been hurt, and LIVE like there’s no tomorrow. Never take anyone or anything for granted, spread love, show love and tell the one’s you love that they are loved daily. Never look down on anyone unless you are helping them up. Loving yourself is the first secret to your happiness.
